The second Donate-A-Pint drive collected about 50 pints of blood from voluntary donors at the UCH Blood Bank and Alexander Brown Hall.
The Donate-A-Pint Project 2.0 held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, four months after the first drive. Donors again gave at two points: the University College Hospital Blood Bank and Alexander Brown Hall, the venue used by the National Blood Service Commission. About 50 pints of blood were donated by voluntary blood donors across both sites.
We partnered with the UCH Blood Bank, the National Blood Service Commission, One Voice Initiative, the University of Ibadan Medical Students’ Association and the Federation of African Medical Students’ Associations, as in the first edition. The Association of Resident Doctors, University College Hospital, joined as a partner for this edition.
The pints collected went to the UCH Blood Bank for patients who need blood at short notice.
