Donate-A-Pint 3.0 ran on two days across UCH and the University of Ibadan campus, collecting about 80 pints of blood from voluntary donors.
The Donate-A-Pint Project 3.0 ran on two days in two parts of Ibadan.
Day one at UCH
On Saturday, April 29, 2023, donors gave at the University College Hospital Blood Bank and at Alexander Brown Hall, the venue used by the National Blood Service Commission. About 40 pints of blood were donated by voluntary blood donors across the two sites.
Day two at the University of Ibadan
On Tuesday, May 2, 2023, the drive held at the Students’ Union Building Car Park, University of Ibadan. About 40 pints of blood were donated by voluntary blood donors, mainly students of the University of Ibadan.
Partners
We partnered with the UCH Blood Bank, the National Blood Service Commission, One Voice Initiative, the University of Ibadan Students’ Union and the Federation of African Medical Students’ Associations. Staff of the National Blood Service Commission were present with volunteers of SmileBuilders Initiative. Across the two days, about 80 pints of blood were donated.
