Donate-A-Pint 6.0 at Alexander Brown Hall brought seven partners together and collected over 70 pints of blood from voluntary donors.
The Donate-A-Pint Project 6.0 held on 20th September, 2025, at Alexander Brown Hall, UCH. Over 70 pints of blood were donated by voluntary blood donors.
Partners
Seven organisations partnered with us on this edition: Hamstrings Club, the Federation of African Medical Students’ Associations at UCH, the Nigerian Red Cross (UCH Detachment), One Voice Initiative, Alexander Brown Hall, the University of Ibadan Medical Students’ Association and the National Blood Service Commission.
The day
The photographs show a full hall. Donors were checked by health workers before giving, registered at tables staffed by Red Cross and SmileBuilders volunteers, and rested in rows of chairs afterwards. Volunteers in purple bibs stood in a long line with placards, and doctors in white coats held up freshly donated pints beside Every Blood Donor Is a Hero signs.
Every pint went to the UCH Blood Bank for patients who need a transfusion at short notice.
